my first day

I just got home from my first day at Peace College. It was absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! I will have to take my camera one day and take pictures of my gloriously fabulous office. The director of student health, my supervisor has remodeled a floor of an older dorm and my office is one of the ones newly remodeled. Can I just say, lucky me!?!?!

I have two large windows, one overlooked a grassy courtyard. My office is split into two areas, my desk area and the area where I will talk with clients. I have a brand new beautiful micro-suede couch and a matching chair with a lovely end table. I also have my own computer. The best perks … as if those aren’t good enough … a gym is on the bottom floor of the student health building and I can go for free. Since the building used to be a dorm, my office has its own shower in the bathroom. So the plan is to go to the gym, with a couple of the other therapists, in the morning and then shower in my personal bathroom before I start my day. This is such an amazing blessing!!

Now, those are my amazing digs. My amazing day came from spending the day touring the campus and getting to know the extremely talented people I will be working with for the next year. I already have two clients, which is so freakin’ scary and awesome all together at the same time. I was able to participate in dealing with a crisis. AND since it is orientation week, I was able to paint pottery with some students.

This is going to be an awesome year!! I can already tell I am going to be pushed outside my boundaries all the while laughing so very much.
