i’m thankful for … my new attitude

i was all geared up to vent and rant, emphasis on the rant part of my vent in my post today. i am having a horrible food allergy reaction today. i love the holidays but dear lord this food allergy of mine may turn me into a recluse. i am safe in my home. i am safe cooking my food. i am safe eating my food. i just don’t trust anything else. anyway i was going to rant. but i won’t.

i am changing my attitude and for that ability i am thankful. i am also thankful for my cup of warm ginger ale and another tall glass of pedialyte. these images and quotes are what have helped change my attitude. some have made me cry. some have made me laugh. some have made me dream. i love how images and words can do that.

“ Whatever you can do or dream, you can begin it. Boldness has genius, magic and power in it. Begin it now.” — Goethe

You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land, there is no other life but this.” – H.D. Thoreau

“ What could you achieve in life if you decided to become totally and blissfully impervious to hostile criticism and to rejection?” — Gary S. Goodman

you gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. you are able to say to yourself, ‘i have lived through this horror. i can take the next thing that comes along.’ ” -eleanor roosevelt

did you know that eleanor roosevelt is my most endearing, inspirational, strong, hero. i want to name my daughter after her. i want to teach my daughter about all that eleanor roosevelt stood for. anyway. oh food allergy reaction, time of the month hormonal monday!
