and he is sitting on my chest. yep. i am sick.

i have been fighting something all last week and this sunday it won. seriously. i have been eating more healthy than i ever have before. taking vitamins, regularly. flax. check. yogurt. check. fish oils. check. for reals. i am not a happy camper.

i did manage to make my oats for this morning.

1/4 c. steel cut oats
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup almond milk
handful of craisins
1 scoop vanilla flavored whey protein powder
2 tbsp. ground flax seed
1 tbsp. honey
2 tbsp. cinnamon

this is my 400 calorie, 24 grams of protein, get me feeling better bowl of oats!

today i will be sprinkling a bit of honey and cinnamon into everything i eat in hopes of avoiding the doctor. did you know all the natural health benefits of cinnamon? just some random facts i have read … cinnamon is useful in stopping the development of fungal infection and bacteria. it boosts the immune system. when it comes to immunity, viral and bacterial infections, cinnamon should be taken every day.
