lucky

i am lucky. and fortunate. and grateful. i get to spend my beautiful afternoon outside doing what i love (working on etsy orders!) with this little guy. the other two pups panting and running around, happily.

i am a ‘dog person’ and don’t, typically, enjoy cats so much. but this guy. sigh. he makes me smile.

and then there is this guy. last night as we were about to close our eyes i told him i was lucky. we always fall asleep holding each other. it is our house rule. it is my favorite part of the day. i always feel so close. so safe. last night was no different. only i realized that i would feel lucky and grateful no matter where we lived. no matter our jobs. no matter anything other than him.

at the end of my very blessed day. he is what makes me lucky.

p.s. can you see my neck?! well hello there friend, it has been a while.

thanks shannon! i am definitely trying and slowly succeeding at weight loss. it is slow but instead of "dieting" i am making healthier choices with splurges (like whole foods gelato!) along the way.

So sweet. Yes, I do see your neck and some very nice cheekbones. Are you losing weight?
