an unwich.

i am heartbroken.  the baseball season is over for me and the rest of Red Sox Nation.  no more late night games.  no more game winning homeruns by my favorite player.  only heartache for blowing such a large wildcard lead.  tears from the worst september.  and disbelief from last nights two games.

bright news though. i found a new sandwich that i LOVE.  i have never been to jimmy johns but recently heard of their “unwich.”  instead of being wrapped in bread, the sandwich is wrapped in lettuce.

they have an awesome website where you can build your entire meal and get the nutritional information.  i asked the husband to bring dinner home my 197 calorie dinner for a night of sub eating and baseball.

i built my unwich to have turkey breast, tomato, sprouts, avocado spread, tomatoes, jalapenos, banana peppers, provolone cheese, and cucumbers.  it had 175 calories, 4.5 grams of fat, and 21 grams of protein.

i added a giant pickle.  22 calories, 0 grams fat.

so the game didn’t end the way i had hoped.  but i did find a new healthy and quick place to eat which is pretty exciting.
