150 calories.

sometimes i just want to eat.  not count calories.  not think about the nutritional value.  just shovel.  my good friend melissa shared a new product with me and i am so very thankful she did.  so now, i am sharing with you!

i find nothing more comforting than sitting down with a pint of ice cream and plowing through it.  clearly.  did you know there are four servings in a pint?!  dear lord.  nope.  no ice cream in this house.  popsicles and fruit bars yes.  but those are already portioned out.

then i learned about artic zero pints.  150 calories per pint.  not per serving.  per pint people.  now there are still four servings but at 150 calories per pint i can relax and eat either a portion or the entire pint if i am having “those” kind of days.  and let me tell you, those days have been happening around here.  it is court time and lots of big decisions to be made with my caseload.

now because i do care about nutritional value and although i like the fact that the pint is only 150 calories i don’t want to eat foods that are full of artificial crap.  win, win.  here are the ingredients for my favorite flavor i have tried, coffee.

ingredients:  purified water, whey protein concentrate, organic cane sugar, chicory root, instant coffee, guar gum, xantham gum, natural flavors, sea salt, and organic monk fruit.

the question should be asked:  what the hell is monk fruit?!

here is the other nutritional values:
37 calories per serving, 4 servings per pint.
0 grams of total fat, 0 saturated and 0 trans.
3.4 grams of protein per serving.  holla.
2 grams of fiber per serving.

the taste.  it is NOT ben and jerry’s.  i absolutely don’t like chocolate and peanut butter and i LOVE everything chocolate and peanut butter.  the coffee is good.  the chocolate is alright.  you can order pumpkin spice from amazon and i think that flavor might be yummy!  it isn’t going to win any ice cream contests but at the end of some days when you don’t want to count calories and you just want to “eat” this is what i am now turning to.

Love mint chocolate cookie and vanilla maple.
