day 3, celebrating 11 years together

we celebrated our eleventh year anniversary in jamaica.  not planned, but i couldn’t think of a better way to look back and, more importantly, to the future.  i am so tremendously thankful for my husband and the relationship that we have. it is hard work. it is not always simple. or fun. but at the end of it all, i have his back through anything and he has mine. i simply adore him.

we started off our third day, anniversary day, in the water.  kayaking in the early morning was perfect.  the water was calm and didn’t hurt my back.  it felt great to get some physical activity and enjoy all the sights.

i can’t reiterate enough how wonderful it was to have a house, a pool, and an ocean to ourselves.  no body image issues.  no loud people.  just the two of us.  pure bliss.

after morning in the ocean we were invited to a jerk chicken lunch.  we were excited to try jerk master james’s chicken.  it did not disappoint!  neither did the man himself, james.  here is a video posted of james talking about jerk chicken.

after lunch, we were greeted back at our home with frozen drinks and shade.

sunset on day three.  stunning.

for dinner, shaki, made us a gluten free key lime pie.  simply amazing.
