i am going to be an aunt.

i am so tremendously happy to share that i will be an aunt. early next year, my brother and his wife will be welcoming their first little one.  given all the fertility struggles and heartbreaks for us, without a doubt i am thankful and grateful for my soon to be niece or nephew.  our struggles have made me appreciate so very much each new life.  i am excited to watch my little brother become a father. i am excited to shower this little one with love and laughter.

basically, i am thrilled to have the opportunity to be a kick ass aunt.

it is all starting with a gender reveal baby shower that we, along with my dad and stepmom, are hosting. we wanted to throw a shower for my dads side of the family earlier than later, this baby is going to be so showered with love. there is a long list of showers to be had, so we wanted to get a jump start with the festivities!

i love the idea of a gender reveal shower and neither my brother nor his wife had heard of the idea before. (obviously, they are not on pinterest!) they loved the idea and i ran with it.  i can’t wait to show all the ideas we have going into the shower but i can share the invitations.

the husband and i created these and i love them.  the mom and dad to be loved them. and i hope as everyone goes to their mailboxes this week, they will love them too.

this is the front and below is the back. i found these great scratch off stickers online (100 for $5!) and thought since everyone loves a scratch off, why not incorporate onto the invitation. below are not the correct details, obviously. but i loved the colors and fonts we came up with.  i seriously had a blast creating these invitations.

i have had a blast making these invitations and planning this shower.  in another life, maybe i will be a party planner.  that just sounds like so much fun!  if you are interested in having me create an invitation for your special event, just shoot me a message.  i am in the process of researching opening another etsy shop for my printable creations.
